Wahlberg confirms another Italian Job

It seems like decades ago that the ‘Italian Job’ remake movie zoomed across movie screens, but actually, it was only 2003. Since then 'the film's star, Mark Wahlberg, has pretty much dropped off the face of the Earth. ‘Italian Job’ was the peak of his acting fame, and now we’re all back to making fun by calling him Marky Mark.

That’s ok, the Funky Bunch actor has some good vibrations on the way He’s confirmed to MTV News that the long rumored sequel to ‘The Italian Job’ is finally happening, and what’s more they’re going to let him be in it. According to Wahlberg, they’re also going to try and make it good. “A lot of people really liked The Italian Job, and a lot of movie sequels don't live up to the original, so we want to make it as good, or better; and we're all patient,” he says.

Writer David Twohy (Pitch Black) has at last finished the script to the sequel, and it’ll be called ‘The Brazillian Job’. From this we can presume they’ll be stealing things in South America. Canrnivale!

But who from the cast will return? It sounds like Wahlberg is a lock, but what about Charlize Theron? Will we get to see her assets used to their fullest on Brazil’s notoriously free-spirited beaches? The answer is yes. MTV says the entire cast, including Theron, is ready to give carefully planned robbery another chance.

He hasn't dropped completely off the face of the earth. He was in Four Brothers which Singleton directed. While Italian Job was probably one of his best movies, I think that may have had more to do with the supporting cast than Marky's acting chops.
