Nicolas Cage Cast in Electric God Adaptation

Cage will star in this adapation of Catherine Ryan Hyde's novel

Nicolas Cage has been cast in drama Electric God that is being adapted from Catherine Ryan Hyde's novel of the same name.

Variety reports the star will play a man who keeps himself isolated in the hope of controlling his temper, but finds peace when he is forced to interact with other people.

Mark Pellington will direct from a script by David Murray, with Andrew Hauptman producing.

The novel has been described as a modern retelling of The Book of Job.
